The Cour Internationale d’Arbitrage Maritime et Aérien (CIAMA), in partnership with the Chambre Arbitrale Maritime de Paris (CAMP), offers to the economic players the opportunity to settle their dispute by arbitrators.
CIAMA is a private and independent institution, its purpose being to organize and manage arbitration proceedings concerning disputes related to international maritime and aviation trade.
The assignment of CIAMA is to provide with services of resolution of disputes arising from national and international business transactions through the means of arbitration. This mission is encouraged by law n ° 20.08 organizing the lawyers' procedure, which encourages the latter to stimulate the action of their clients in conflict to resort to alternative justice, including arbitration.
In Morocco, arbitration proceedings are governed by certain provisions of the Civil Procedure Code (Chapter VIII du Section V). Thus, arbitration is to some extent integrated into the State judicial system.
